Software Engineer II – Full Stack – Web Engineering

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential search and data platform company in their search for a Software Engineer II to join their Web Engineering team. In this role, you'll own critical features and infrastructure for a high-traffic corporate website that serves as the primary touchpoint for prospects and customers worldwide. You'll work across the full stack—from React components to backend services—while taking ownership of production systems, performance monitoring, and security response.

This is a remote position working in a distributed, asynchronous environment with stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end across the full stack, from component design and backend services through deployment pipelines and production releases
• Instrument and monitor both client-side performance (Core Web Vitals, error tracking, real-user monitoring) and backend observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboards)
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to build, test, and ship features
• Write clean, maintainable code and take full ownership of its production behavior
• Triage, investigate, and resolve security vulnerability reports from initial reproduction through fix validation and coordinated disclosure
• Participate actively in code reviews
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents ranging from client-side regressions to backend failures
• Join an on-call rotation supporting a high-availability service

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of full-stack or frontend engineering experience with strong TypeScript and React expertise (component architecture, performance optimization, state management) plus hands-on backend development in production environments
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go—sufficient to build, deploy, debug, and maintain backend services independently
• Proven experience owning CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) end-to-end, including frontend build tooling, bundle optimization, and deployment automation
• Track record of leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code while maintaining ownership of final outcomes
• Experience building for high availability and scalability at production scale, including secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation under time pressure
• Ability to work autonomously within a globally distributed team
