Software Engineer – Systems Modeling (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization based in Berlin that is advancing satellite development capabilities. Our talent team is seeking a Software Engineer - Systems Modeling to join their Architecture and Processes function, where you'll build the system infrastructure enabling rapid satellite mission development.

This is a permanent position working in a hybrid model with flexible hours. You'll collaborate with engineering teams across disciplines to develop tools, digital models, and processes that support mission delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems modeling infrastructure for satellite mission development
• Build tools and digital models that enable engineering teams to work efficiently
• Implement code-based systems modeling solutions using MBSE and SysMLv2
• Design and maintain databases, APIs, and automation workflows
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and version control processes
• Create data visualization interfaces for engineering stakeholders
• Define and improve processes for rapid mission development cycles

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysMLv2
• Strong Python programming skills with expertise in software architecture, testing, and automation
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines—comfortable managing branches, merge requests, and troubleshooting independently
• Experience working with databases and API development
• Structured, process-oriented approach with focus on simplicity and automation
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ideally: knowledge of satellite missions, system architectures, subsystems, and development lifecycle
• Ideally: experience with UI design for data visualization, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and Grafana
