About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential defense technology client in Berlin. They are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the development of autonomous robotic systems. This is a critical role bridging system requirements and engineering execution for hardware-software integrated platforms.

As the product owner for a cross-functional robotics team, you will translate complex requirements into actionable work, manage backlogs across hardware and software stacks, and ensure seamless execution from concept through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system engineers and program managers to break down complex requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Manage and prioritize the engineering backlog, balancing long-term architecture with immediate project milestones
• Facilitate daily team alignment across hardware engineers (optics, supplier specs) and software engineers (embedded systems, sensor overlays)
• Maintain documentation of technical capabilities, system resources, and sprint outcomes for stakeholder visibility
• Review completed work against requirements and navigate trade-offs between hardware constraints, embedded software performance, and timelines
• Unblock work and keep sprints moving smoothly across the full technology stack

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years as a Technical Product Manager or similar role working on hardware-software integrated products, robotics, IoT, or complex technical platforms
• Technical literacy: comfortable reviewing code repositories (GitLab), technical structures, and collaborating with software engineers
• Systems thinking with understanding of robotics and embedded tech stacks—sensor calibration, edge computing platforms, driver integration, system architecture
• Exceptional communication skills to bridge deeply technical engineers and program managers
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin

Preferred:

• Familiarity with sensor hardware lifecycles and optics
• Experience with embedded Linux, carrier boards, or base image configuration
• Agile frameworks experience in hardware contexts
• Background in defense, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle sectors
