Senior Agronomist – Digital Agronomist Products (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded agritech organization working at the intersection of regenerative agriculture and climate solutions. Our client partners with major food companies across Europe to help farmers transition to sustainable practices while building new revenue models. As their recruiting partner, Get A Job.ai is seeking a Senior Agronomist to lead the development of digital decision-support tools for farmers in temperate arable systems.

This role is based in Berlin, Germany, with flexible hybrid arrangements available within the EU.

Responsibilities

• Own the agronomic logic and scientific rigor behind farmer-facing recommendation and assessment engines
• Translate regenerative agriculture principles into digital product specifications for engineering and product teams
• Develop and evolve digital agronomy tools including decision-support systems and practice assessment platforms
• Expand capabilities for regenerative practices in temperate arable farming, including method prioritization and evidence integration
• Validate agronomic models and algorithms through field-reality checks, stress-testing outputs before release
• Support roadmap prioritization based on farmer value, commercial viability, and technical feasibility
• Conduct farmer validation through interviews, feedback analysis, and test case development
• Serve as internal expert on regenerative arable farming, supporting cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, and Data
• Review agronomic content and farmer-facing materials for accuracy and credibility in English and German
• Monitor competitor landscape and support expansion into new markets and climate zones
• Depending on experience, may include team leadership responsibilities managing agronomy specialists

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in agronomy, regenerative agriculture, farm advisory, agricultural science, or related field
• Strong practical experience working directly with arable farms through management, advisory, or farmer-facing research
• Solid academic background in agronomy, agricultural sciences, or related discipline
• Deep understanding of regenerative arable farming in temperate climates, including soil health, nutrient management, crop rotations, cover crops, tillage, and reduced-input systems

Essential Skills:

• Ability to translate agronomic expertise into scalable digital products
• Strong critical thinking to assess models, algorithms, and recommendations
• Sound judgment and solution development in ambiguous or novel situations
• Pragmatic and innovative approach to creating scalable value for farmers
• Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams
• Comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards
• Fluency in English required; German is a strong advantage
• Interest in mentoring or team leadership is a plus
