Senior Director, Programme Managment

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential marketing technology organization seeking a Senior Director, Programme Management to join their Strategic Programmes team in London. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, leading high-impact initiatives across product, engineering, operations, commercial, and data teams.

You will lead programmes and projects from planning through delivery, translating strategic priorities into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes. Your day-to-day will include coordinating delivery across multiple business functions, building trusted relationships with stakeholders, and providing transparent updates on progress, risks, and decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading complex, cross-functional programmes involving technology platforms, operational change, and organizational transformation
• Facilitating decision-making and maintaining momentum across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Supporting the delivery and adoption of new products, platforms, technologies, and ways of working
• Managing dependencies, risks, and issues to keep programmes on track
• Capturing lessons learned and applying insights to continuously improve delivery practices
• Taking ownership of smaller projects requiring hands-on delivery
• Contributing to planning and prioritization across the Strategic Programmes portfolio
• Supporting and mentoring Programme and Project Managers, helping develop their skills
• Sharing knowledge, best practices, and practical guidance across the team
• Contributing to the evolution of delivery standards, tools, and frameworks

Required qualifications and experience:

• Extensive experience leading complex programmes and projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated success delivering technology, operational, or organizational change initiatives
• Practical understanding of programme and project management approaches, methodologies, and governance frameworks
• Ability to manage competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges in fast-paced environments
• Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing across organizational boundaries
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on, practical delivery
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting the professional development of team members
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering meaningful business outcomes
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to bring clarity to complex situations
• Comfort adapting your approach based on programme needs—from strategic discussions to detailed execution

This role requires working in London approximately four days per week under our client's hybrid working model.
