Director, Strategic Accounts – Logistics & Tech, m/f/d

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data and AI organization seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead a high-performing sales team focused on the Logistics and Tech verticals in Munich. In this leadership role, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of Strategic Account Executives, driving their success through coaching, guidance, and empowerment to exceed sales targets
• Build a strong talent pipeline leveraging your network and make high-impact hires as the team scales
• Develop and execute a clear regional growth and investment plan within your first 90 days
• Establish and sponsor executive-level relationships with strategic customers and partners
• Coach your team on vision-setting, methodology-based selling, and alignment to customer outcomes
• Ensure accurate forecasting and create predictable, high-growth business through disciplined execution
• Develop deep understanding of technical platforms and roadmaps to deliver customer value
• Make data-driven decisions and adapt quickly as market insights evolve
• Travel regularly to customer sites, company meetings, and industry events regionally and internationally

What We're Looking For

• Proven sales leadership experience managing high-performing Enterprise sales teams selling into strategic and global accounts in Germany
• Strong track record developing teams in high-growth Data, AI, Cloud, or SaaS/Tech environments while consistently exceeding ambitious targets
• Extensive knowledge of the Logistics vertical with established relationships across strategic accounts in this sector
• Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and retain top sales performers
• Strong understanding of usage-based, commit-based, and service-based revenue models
• Experience building and leveraging partner ecosystems as an executive sponsor
• Deep commitment to methodology-based sales coaching, including MEDDPICC and Challenger approaches
• Reputation for accurate forecasting and execution excellence
• Data-driven decision-making mindset with ability to adapt as facts change
• Customer-obsessed, collaborative leadership style with bias toward action
• Fluency in German and English is essential
