Client Solutions Director / Solution Design Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global marketing solutions organization in their search for a Client Solutions Director / Solution Design Architect based in Berlin, Germany. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract with strong potential for extension.

Our client operates across 40+ countries and specializes in designing and implementing marketing ecosystems for enterprise brands. This role requires fluency in German or Spanish and involves regular business travel across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational and solution design elements of new client pitches, presenting to CMOs and senior marketing leadership with credibility and confidence
• Formulate solutions in real-time during pitches, workshops and high-pressure client discussions while maintaining commercial sharpness
• Own technology and data conversations when specialists aren't present, knowing when and how to bring in technical resources
• Gather, document and analyze business requirements for new client accounts, defining accurate scope, cost and risk parameters
• Design operating models including roles, governance, workflows and handoffs that align to client goals and delivery capabilities
• Evaluate and redesign processes across advertising and marketing channels (media, data, creative, technology) to improve efficiency and outcomes
• Build and validate commercial models including team structures, asset-based rate models and outcome-based pricing structures
• Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to pressure-test assumptions, margins and risk before client presentation
• Bridge communication between clients, commercial, technology and delivery teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding
• Analyze data to support decision-making and define measurement frameworks for new client engagements
• Ensure smooth handover from pitch to implementation so what is sold matches what is delivered

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• 10-15 years of experience in solution design, consulting, strategy or operations within advertising, marketing, media or martech environments
• Proven track record presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior marketing stakeholders
• Hands-on experience building and validating commercial models such as resourcing models, rate cards and performance-linked structures
• Process-driven mindset with ability to map, challenge and redesign workflows and operating model principles
• Strong working knowledge of advertising and marketing channels including paid media, social, programmatic, search, CRM and creative production
• Technical fluency in martech, adtech, data and platforms sufficient to hold credible client conversations independently
• Quick-thinking and resilient, comfortable formulating options under pressure while maintaining client confidence
• Strong analytical skills with ability to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations
• Fluency in German or Spanish required
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe for client pitches

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience contributing to new business wins, RFPs and pitch processes
• Background in agency, consultancy or in-house marketing transformation
• Experience with global or multi-market clients and remote cross-functional teams
