Technology Leader – Wireless Software Systems

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a Technology Leader for Wireless Software Systems. In this remote role, you will collaborate with business development teams to identify technology trends and market opportunities in wireless communications. You will lead the creation and delivery of innovative wireless products from initial client discussions through specification and successful implementation. Your work will span satellite, cellular, and personal area network communications, including emerging areas such as Low Earth Orbit systems and High-Altitude Platforms.

You will inspire technical teams to develop breakthrough solutions that deliver measurable value for clients. A key aspect of this position involves mentoring the next generation of technical leaders while maintaining expertise in cutting-edge wireless technologies. You will take ownership of end-to-end system design, from understanding business outcomes to product delivery for world-leading organizations.

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a proven leader with deep commercial and technical expertise in wireless communications systems. The ideal candidate will bring:

• Extensive experience specifying and designing end-to-end wireless communications systems and products
• A demonstrated track record of successful commercial engagement and new business development
• Strong knowledge of WAN and PAN communications standards including 3GPP, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi
• Comprehensive understanding of cellular design challenges and solutions
• Experience in fee-for-service or consultancy environments
• Proven ability to mentor and develop future technology leaders
• A client-centric mindset with excellent communication skills
• Passion for exploring and implementing emerging technologies

You should be comfortable articulating complex technical concepts and inspiring multidisciplinary teams. This role requires someone who can balance technical innovation with business realities, ensuring solutions align with market needs and client objectives.
