Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in Berlin that is seeking a Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) to work remotely from anywhere within EU time zones. This is a unique opportunity to serve as the sole designer for an established learning platform, with complete ownership over the product's visual and interaction design language.

Our client is a small, remote-first team where decisions move quickly and designers have direct access to customers and stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Own the visual and interaction design language across the entire platform, maintaining consistency as the product grows
• Transform product concepts into wireframes and build-ready design files, including states, edge cases, responsive behavior, and interaction details
• Manage and maintain the design system, including component library and design tokens, ensuring alignment with frontend implementation
• Design to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, building compliance in from the start
• Conduct design QA in partnership with the QA team to ensure shipped work matches specifications
• Run customer interviews and usability tests to support discovery and validate design concepts
• Develop deep product knowledge and domain expertise in corporate learning and development
• Write microcopy for your designs in English and ideally German
• Grow into driving design-led initiatives from proposal through to concept independently

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of experience designing complex, logic-heavy B2B or SaaS products, including at least one product you shaped visually over an extended period
• Strong visual craft skills: typography, hierarchy, spacing, and information density in data-heavy interfaces
• Deep fluency in modern design tools, including building and maintaining component libraries
• Experience designing for localization across multiple languages, with layouts that accommodate varying string lengths
• Responsive and mobile design expertise, including designing for mobile-only users
• Ability to independently run customer interviews and usability tests, translating insights into design decisions
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• German proficiency sufficient for conducting customer interviews
• Experience designing within established products, not only greenfield projects
• Experience with multi-tenant products where customers apply their own branding

Not part of this role: Brand, marketing, and website design. This is a focused product design role for someone whose portfolio demonstrates deep experience with complex product interfaces rather than campaigns or landing pages.

How We Work With You
