Senior Product Builder

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in Berlin that is building an AI-native platform for European SMEs. As Senior Product Builder, you will own a core product area from end to end. You'll work directly with senior engineers to prototype, spec, and ship features using modern AI development tools.

Your day-to-day includes:

• Building and shipping features alongside engineering teams, not just writing specifications from a distance
• Conducting user research with accountants and finance professionals to understand current workflows and pain points
• Designing product workflows that balance user needs, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance
• Determining how AI agents can automate manual processes while maintaining auditability and accuracy
• Owning discovery, prioritization, release cycles, and iteration for your product area
• Prototyping solutions quickly and measuring impact in hours saved for end users

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who builds, not just decides. You should be comfortable prototyping your own ideas and taking them most of the way yourself. You prefer shipping rough versions and iterating rather than endless planning documents.

Must-have qualifications:

• Fluency in both German and English
• Track record taking products from 0 to 1
• Ability to work autonomously and bring clarity to complex, messy domains
• Experience using AI development tools effectively (or strong willingness to learn)
• Comfort working in-person at their Berlin Prenzlauer Berg office

Strongly preferred:

• Experience in fintech, accounting software, payroll systems, banking, or money-movement domains
• Background building complex systems with significant state management, edge cases, and integrations where accuracy is critical
• Working knowledge of German tax and regulatory requirements for small businesses
