About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy infrastructure organization in their search for a Service Technician specializing in large-scale battery storage systems and electrical measurement, control, and regulation (EMSR) technology. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability and safety of grid-connected energy storage installations across Germany.

You can be based anywhere in Germany. From your home location, you will service installations throughout the country, including multi-day assignments with overnight stays. Tasks that don't require on-site presence can be completed remotely from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on large battery storage systems and associated electrical infrastructure
• Systematically troubleshoot faults, resolve issues, and replace components as needed—both on-site and remotely where possible
• Monitor and configure installations using SCADA, energy management systems, and remote control systems
• Support commissioning activities, functional testing, grid connection tests, and system upgrades, conducting inspections within your qualification scope
• Document service visits, measurement results, and solutions comprehensively; collaborate with the operations team to address recurring issues and identify improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training in an electrical field—such as Industrial Electrician, Automation Technician, or Mechatronics with electrical experience
• Practical experience in maintenance or servicing of electrical systems, industrial controls, or energy installations; battery storage knowledge is welcome but not required
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation confidently; structured approach to fault diagnosis
• Experience with EMSR technology, SCADA, EMS, or communication protocols such as Modbus and IEC 61850 is a strong advantage
• Self-directed work style with strong communication skills in German
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Willingness to travel throughout Germany for service assignments, including multi-day trips with overnight stays
