Creative Strategist / Direct-Response Copywriter – Meta Ads (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in the outdoor products sector that is scaling aggressively through Meta advertising. They currently invest approximately €500,000 monthly in ad spend, and every converting video begins with a strategically crafted script.

Our client is adding a second Creative Strategist to work alongside their existing team member. You'll own your own creative pipeline, develop your own concepts, and see your work directly impact performance metrics. This is a full-time remote position (40 hours per week) with direct access to leadership.

Responsibilities

Your core mission is to identify why customers buy and write video scripts that trigger those purchasing decisions. You'll manage the entire process from concept through final creative delivery:

• Research and develop creative angles from customer reviews, comments, surveys, top-performing ads, and competitive analysis
• Write complete video ad scripts including hooks, body copy, and CTAs in German, with expansion into English for UK and US markets
• Apply awareness stage frameworks and customer avatar methodology to match messaging to audience sophistication levels
• Coordinate all content requirements: UGC creators, founder footage, B-roll, voiceover, and shot lists for production
• Brief video editors, provide feedback, and approve final deliverables to performance standards
• Systematically iterate on winning creatives with new hooks, durations, and angles
• Manage your own pipeline from testing through scaling, tracking performance directly in Meta Ads Manager

Target output: approximately 50 new creative batches monthly from your pipeline. By month four, a measurable portion of the client's Meta spend should be running on your creatives.

What We're Looking For

This is not a brand copywriting role. We need someone who writes direct-response copy that generates revenue and can demonstrate results:

• Proven direct-response experience: Portfolio with documented examples showing revenue impact, including specific metrics (ROAS, spend allocation, win rates)
• Meta ads expertise: Deep familiarity with Meta advertising in D2C or e-commerce environments; you understand what makes creatives convert
• Experience level: Ideally two years in creative strategy or performance copywriting; one year acceptable if it was genuine direct-response work
• Marketing psychology foundation: Working knowledge of customer avatars, awareness stages, and mass market desires as practical frameworks, not buzzwords
• AI proficiency: Regular use of AI tools for research, variant generation, and structure; while the high-converting hook still comes from your strategic thinking
• Language skills: Strong sales copywriting in German; business-fluent English minimum (bonus: firsthand knowledge of US or UK markets)
• High-volume mindset: Enthusiasm for testing multiple creatives, analyzing learnings, and scaling what works rather than only pursuing novelty

Bonus qualifications: Experience writing advertorials or listicles; hands-on media buying background

Pay

Compensation is based on experience level and is open to negotiation for exceptional candidates. Specific figures will be discussed during the screening process.
