Our client provides essential technology infrastructure and digital transformation support across multiple municipalities in Bavaria. As a Senior Microsoft System Specialist, you will serve as both technical expert and trusted advisor, ensuring critical infrastructure remains secure, stable, and continuously evolving to meet the needs of public administration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, configure, and continuously develop modern server and network environments
• Operate and optimize complex Microsoft server landscapes
• Contribute to IT architecture planning and infrastructure evolution
• Administer and support Active Directory (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy (GPO), and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Manage file and print services, Citrix, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Microsoft SQL Server
• Plan and execute updates, migrations, and automation projects
• Ensure stable and secure IT operations across distributed environments
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams on architecture decisions and infrastructure projects
• Communicate technical matters clearly to stakeholders and end users

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience as IT system administrator or server administrator
• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies and Windows infrastructure
• Proven experience operating complex Active Directory environments
• Solid expertise in virtualization, server operations, and IT infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Team player with a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for actively shaping technology direction
• Valid Class B driver's license for on-site visits to supported locations using company pool vehicles
• Very good German language skills (essential for this role)
