Salesforce Product Owner

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI-powered B2B trading organization in Berlin that is redefining how global commerce operates in industrial materials. Our client has closed significant institutional funding and operates across multiple European markets with a distributed international team.

We are seeking a Salesforce Product Owner to take full ownership of the Salesforce platform, driving automation, managing the roadmap, and serving as the single point of contact for all Salesforce needs across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete Salesforce backlog and roadmap end-to-end, gathering requirements from Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear requirements with acceptance criteria and prioritization
• Design, build, and test declarative automation including Flow, validation rules, approval processes, and assignment logic
• Scope Apex-heavy development and integration work with Salesforce developers, reviewing output for fit and maintainability
• Make architectural decisions on what belongs in configuration versus custom code
• Handle day-to-day platform administration: user and license management, security and sharing model, profiles and permission sets, sandbox management, and release processes
• Protect data model integrity, enforce governance standards, and own deduplication, validation, and reporting hygiene
• Serve as the single point of contact for all Salesforce matters, setting expectations and communicating tradeoffs
• Report progress against automation targets and platform objectives

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform, with demonstrated ownership of an org's roadmap or backlog
• Expert-level proficiency in declarative automation: Flow, validation rules, approval processes, and the security model
• Strong technical administration skills: user and license management, profiles and permission sets, sandbox and release management
• Ability to read and scope Apex, comfortable reviewing developer work and determining the configuration-versus-code boundary
• Proven track record of translating business requirements into shipped solutions across multiple departments
• Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder certification strongly preferred
• Fluent English and comfort serving as the sole owner of a business-critical system
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments is a plus
