Android Software Engineer

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that is transforming how millions of people across multiple markets access financial services through mobile technology. We are seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join their engineering team remotely from Germany.

This role is ideal for Android developers who are passionate about building clean, performant mobile experiences that simplify complex financial workflows for real users. You'll be working on native Android features that directly impact how customers interact with insurance, payments, and financial products.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin for production mobile applications
• Design and implement clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals, and financial services
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable, secure, and reliable
• Improve app performance metrics including crash rate, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage
• Use analytics and user behavior data to identify and resolve production issues
• Build AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely enhance the user journey

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin
• Strong Android fundamentals with proven experience shipping production applications
• Solid knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture patterns
• Strong sense of mobile UX, usability, edge cases, and user flow design
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues effectively
• Fast execution capabilities with high ownership and strong attention to product quality
• Portfolio of shipped work (app links, GitHub, or screenshots) is a strong advantage
• Strong English communication skills for collaborating with global teams
• Must be based in Germany and legally authorized to work in Germany

Technical Environment: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines & Flow, SQL/NoSQL, TensorFlow Lite
