iOS Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI product company building proactive, intelligent applications for everyday users. Our client is focused on bringing AI capabilities to fundamental productivity tools—without requiring complex prompting or technical expertise from end users.

As an iOS Software Engineer, you will own the complete iOS client experience. This is a hands-on role building production-grade mobile applications where AI interactions are central to the product. You'll work on performance, reliability, and creating user trust in AI-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
• Integrate AI-powered features through backend APIs with focus on reliability and performance
• Design UX patterns for AI interactions including loading states, streaming responses, retries, and fallback behavior
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency
• Capture user signals and feedback to support AI feature evaluation and iteration
• Collaborate with backend and ML engineers on API design and system behavior
• Maintain high App Store quality standards and production stability
• Monitor production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
• Hands-on experience integrating AI-powered features into mobile applications
• Strong understanding of async/await, concurrency, and background task management
• Proven iOS performance and memory optimization skills
• Track record of shipping and maintaining production iOS apps
• Ability to design for latency, partial failure, and non-deterministic AI behavior
• Experience with CoreML or on-device ML implementations is a plus
• Familiarity with feature flags or remote configuration systems
• Strong intuition for AI UX patterns and building user trust
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and bring structure to ambiguous problems

Technical environment: Swift, SwiftUI, SPM, SQL/NoSQL, TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference
