About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential robotics organization based in Munich that is building next-generation autonomous systems. Our client needs a senior Unreal Engine developer to architect and implement synthetic data generation pipelines that fuel computer vision and AI models.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Munich, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable synthetic data generation pipelines using Unreal Engine 5
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality simulation systems using C++, Python, Blueprints, and custom plugins
- Create tools and automation to streamline simulation workflows and dataset generation
- Build and optimize realistic environments, assets, and rendering pipelines
- Work extensively with Blender and 3D assets to produce high-quality simulation environments
- Generate synthetic datasets for computer vision applications including object detection, tracking, segmentation, and sensor simulation
- Collaborate with AI, robotics, and computer vision engineers to continuously improve data quality and simulation realism
- Optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability across the simulation pipeline
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 4+ years of professional experience developing software with Unreal Engine, game engines, simulation platforms, or comparable real-time 3D environments
- Strong professional experience with C++ development
- Strong Python programming skills for tooling, automation, and pipeline development
- Practical experience using Blender for creating, editing, or optimizing 3D assets
- Solid experience with Unreal Engine 5, including C++ development, plugin development, Blueprints, and asset integration
- Experience building production-quality software rather than academic or hobby projects
- Good understanding of rendering pipelines, simulation environments, or synthetic data generation
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows
- Fluent English
- Nationality of a NATO member nation or close ally
Nice to Have:
- Experience with synthetic data generation for AI or computer vision applications
- Familiarity with robotics, autonomous systems, or simulation environments
- Experience with procedural generation, digital twins, or geospatial datasets
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
- German language skills
- Extra-curricular leadership or technical achievements
