Senior Robotics Software Engineer (C# / C++) (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential robotics organization seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join their team in Munich. In this role, you will contribute directly to production codebases, designing and building automation software that powers real-world robotic systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, maintainable, and well-tested software solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design, implement, and improve robotics software platforms
• Drive architectural improvements and reduce technical debt in critical robotics components
• Enhance the stability, performance, and robustness of robotics solutions as they scale to new customers and use cases
• Investigate and resolve complex software issues, including those reported from robotic deployments, and deliver lasting solutions
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers from various disciplines to translate real-world automation challenges into well-engineered robotics solutions
• Review code, mentor team members, and help raise the engineering bar across the robotics software team

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Information Technology, Games Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong C# and C++ skills
• Solid understanding of design patterns and clean code principles
• Experience with code testing (unit, integration, and beyond)
• Experience building industrial-grade software for robotics or automation applications
• Excellent English communication skills

Beneficial experience:

• Experience with one or more of: motion planning, control theory, machine vision, deep learning, computer graphics (OpenGL, Vulkan), or simulation software
• Experience with WPF or Avalonia, and the MVVM pattern
