Qualitätsmanager (m/w/d) Supply Chain

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace organization seeking a Supply Chain Quality Manager to join their operations in Backnang, Baden-Württemberg. In this role, you will provide comprehensive quality support across the supply chain function.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Providing quality guidance and support to supply chain teams on all quality-related matters
• Coordinating and conducting supplier and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance and performance standards
• Supporting supplier evaluation processes, assessing quality performance as well as technological, organizational, and process maturity
• Measuring and tracking supplier quality performance, including KPI analysis, reporting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives (8D methodology)
• Collaborating with procurement teams during supplier selection and consolidation activities
• Ensuring customer requirements are implemented and product/service conformity is maintained
• Evaluating First Article Inspection (FAI) submissions from suppliers in coordination with technical receiving teams

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Completed degree in engineering or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in product assurance or quality management
• Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to integrate into groups, solve problems collectively, reach compromises, and seek support from others
• Analytical and structured working style with excellent communication abilities
• Very good German and English language skills (C1 level)
• Citizenship from NATO or EU member states (required for security clearance purposes)

Position Details

This is a staff augmentation contract (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung) with potential for permanent placement. The role offers 35 hours per week with flexible scheduling options and up to 30 days of vacation. The position is based in Backnang with an immediate or negotiable start date.
