Satcom Consultant Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential space sector consulting organization seeking a talented Satcom Consultant Engineer to join their technology consulting practice in Toulouse, France. Our client serves a global portfolio of satellite operators, space agencies, defense organizations, and financial institutions across developed and emerging markets.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse satellite communications missions spanning feasibility studies, technical assessments, and procurement support for LEO, MEO, and GEO systems. You'll contribute to projects that shape the future of space communications while developing your expertise across the complete lifecycle of space projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and eventually lead consulting missions including data collection and analysis, technical surveys of emerging technologies and standards, and system design analysis
• Generate technical reports and presentations that meet project requirements and client expectations
• Contribute to the management of engineering studies, including development of technical and project management documentation, resource planning, and stakeholder communication
• Ensure projects meet technical, programmatic, quality, and cost objectives
• Participate in writing consulting proposals and technical reports
• Collaborate with international clients and engineering teams on-site or remotely
• Travel to client sites and operations globally across Europe, Middle East, Asia, and the Americas as needed

What We're Looking For

• MSc in space engineering with a major preferably in telecommunications (software development experience is a plus)
• 3 to 5 years of experience within the space sector, preferably in satcom but could include Earth observation or other domains
• Strong technical knowledge in satellite communications, including satellite link budget analysis and/or payload architecture development
• Critical thinking and analytical mindset with the ability to quickly learn and master new technical concepts
• Excellent ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise presentations and reports
• Proven writing skills with a track record of producing high-quality technical documentation
• Strong presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to audiences
• Well organized with good autonomy and collaborative project management capabilities
• Team-oriented with rigorous work habits
• Fluent in English
• EU citizenship or permanent EU residence/work permit
• Willingness to travel internationally
