Tax Manager Corporates & Compliance | PE Funds UCITS

About This Opportunity

We are representing a large international fund manager seeking a Tax Manager to join their London team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of private equity, UCITS funds, and complex cross-border tax compliance in a sophisticated institutional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support investment teams by providing tax guidance on corporate participations, investments, and strategic partnerships
• Research compliance issues and interpret tax laws and rulings to resolve tax questions across multiple jurisdictions
• Review tax returns prepared by external advisors and oversee tax reporting processes
• Advise on tax compliance aspects of private equity transactions and support FATCA and AEOI matters, including review of IRS Forms W-8 and W-9
• Manage annual tax compliance obligations across various global jurisdictions
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations affecting private equity and fund investments
• Collaborate with investment teams on tax due diligence, structuring, and scenario analysis
• Monitor tax procedures and controls to ensure timely and accurate execution
• Assess changes in international and domestic taxation and their impact on fund investments
• Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and international tax obligations
• Participate in ad hoc tax projects and provide training to internal teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or Tax Law; further tax qualifications are advantageous
• Professional experience at a Big Four accounting firm or top-tier law firm required
• Strong background in international tax law with expertise in corporate tax, U.S. tax, and investment compliance (FATCA, AEOI)
• Knowledge of corporation tax law and the formation and investment activities of private equity funds, including open-ended and closed-ended structures
• Familiarity with funds domiciled in Luxembourg, Ireland, Delaware, Cayman Islands, and other key jurisdictions
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in team environments and build strong interpersonal relationships
• Efficient working style with the ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong client focus and interest in project-based work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Fluent English required
