Langfuse – Senior Cloud Infra Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own and scale their production environment. Our client processes over a billion trace events monthly and serves Fortune 50 companies in production. This role combines cloud operations, self-hosted deployment support, and infrastructure automation in a high-growth environment.

As their infrastructure engineer, you'll operate production workloads on AWS ECS Fargate with managed analytical databases, build observability systems, and ensure thousands of self-hosted deployments run smoothly across diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate cloud production environments on AWS ECS Fargate, managing deployments, autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization
• Build and maintain comprehensive observability infrastructure with dashboards, alerts, and SLOs to detect degradation before customer impact
• Develop and support self-hosted deployment tooling including Helm charts, Docker Compose configurations, and deployment documentation for single-node through multi-region enterprise setups
• Implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, automated scaling, and zero-downtime deployment processes
• Plan and build infrastructure foundations ahead of 10x growth cycles, anticipating bottlenecks in high-throughput event processing
• Strengthen security and compliance posture to meet enterprise customer requirements across cloud and self-hosted deployments

What We're Looking For

• Strong infrastructure or SRE background with production experience operating systems at scale
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, S3) or comparable cloud platforms
• Proficiency with container orchestration using Kubernetes and/or ECS, Helm charts, and Docker
• Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar tools
• Proven ability building effective monitoring, dashboards, and alerting systems (Datadog experience beneficial)
• Self-directed work style with strong opinions on reliability, automation, and safe infrastructure change management
• Genuine interest in open source software and helping users succeed with self-hosted deployments
• Comfort working in small, accountable teams where individual contributions are highly visible
• Computer Science or quantitative degree preferred

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with managed analytical databases or high-throughput data infrastructure
• Background operating event processing or observability platforms
• Open source infrastructure contributions (Helm charts, Terraform modules, etc.)
• Previous founder experience
