Operations Trainee (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace defense technology organization based in Munich, Germany. Our client is seeking an Operations Trainee for a structured 12-month fixed-term development program. This rotational role offers exposure to manufacturing, production, logistics, and supply chain operations—spending approximately three months in each functional area while contributing to real operational projects.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics departments through a rotational assignment structure
• Assist with production planning, process optimization initiatives, and quality improvement efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product development, and industrial operations
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Support projects focused on operational efficiency and process enhancement
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with implementing new operational processes
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects from initial planning through final execution

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field; or completed vocational training (Ausbildung) in a relevant discipline
• Strong interest in manufacturing and operational processes
• Previous experience through internships, working student roles, or practical training is highly desirable
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong team collaboration skills
• Willingness to take early ownership and demonstrate responsibility
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
• Must already hold valid work authorization for Germany—visa sponsorship is not available for this role
