Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential beauty organization seeking a Global Product & Brand Manager to lead their professional hair-care portfolio. In this role, you will own the complete product lifecycle from concept through commercialization, managing product development, supplier relationships, and go-to-market strategy.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire product lifecycle including ideation, formulation briefings, packaging development, and market launch
  • Building and maintaining supplier relationships, coordinating product development processes with manufacturers, and negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, and production terms
  • Conducting market research, competitive analysis, pricing studies, and consumer insights to inform product and portfolio strategy
  • Managing project and product budgets including cost and margin calculations and optimizing product profitability
  • Leading product launches including timelines, bill of materials, forecasting, and coordination with sales, supply chain, and international markets
  • Organizing internal and external product testing to validate claims, efficacy, and quality
  • Developing creative concepts for product communication and leading campaign development in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Creating content ideas and technical input for digital marketing, preparing storyboards and briefs, and collaborating closely on content execution
  • Directly reporting to senior leadership and managing two direct reports

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with:

  • Completed university degree with several years of solid experience in product management and/or product development, ideally as Product Manager, Product Development Manager, Global Product Manager, Product Innovation Manager, Product Portfolio Manager, or Category Manager
  • Background in FMCG, beauty, or professional hair-care sectors strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of product development, supplier and production management, and managing products throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Experience analyzing pricing, costs, margins, competitors, and markets, with ability to translate insights into concrete product and business decisions
  • Passion and proven experience in go-to-market and launch management, plus developing and implementing innovative product concepts
  • Experience collaborating and negotiating with external suppliers and manufacturers, and managing international partnerships
  • Ideally some team leadership experience with enthusiasm for motivating, developing, and empowering team members
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational strength
  • Communication skills, negotiation expertise, and persuasiveness with internal and external stakeholders
  • Courage for new ideas, innovative spirit, and the determination to successfully translate these into concrete products, communication initiatives, and projects
  • Fluent German and English language skills
