About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a fast-growing AI infrastructure company based in Berlin. Our client is building developer tools and SDKs that power voice applications at scale, serving millions of hours of audio processing each month for companies building the next generation of conversational AI.
We're searching for an Integrations Engineer (SDK) to own the bridge between a high-performance native audio SDK and the platforms developers actually use. You'll maintain Python, TypeScript, and WebAssembly wrappers, own plugins for popular voice agent frameworks, and work directly with open-source maintainers to ensure seamless integrations. This role sits at the intersection of developer experience, real-time audio, and open-source collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain framework plugins in Python and TypeScript, from design through release and ongoing support
- Manage the public API surface, documentation, and packaging for Python, Node.js, and WebAssembly language wrappers in collaboration with the core SDK team
- Contribute to upstream open-source projects, build relationships with maintainers, and ensure integrations remain first-class citizens
- Write and maintain integration documentation including quickstarts, compatibility matrices, and migration guides
- Triage customer and partner integration issues, reproduce bugs, and either resolve them or route to the appropriate team
- Coordinate releases across all integrations as new models and features ship in the core SDK
- Track integration patterns and usage data to prioritize improvements and inform roadmap decisions
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience writing production code in both Python and TypeScript
- Proven track record of publishing and maintaining packages on PyPI or npm with external users, including versioning, release notes, and breaking-change management
- Experience contributing to upstream open-source projects with successfully merged changes
- Solid understanding of real-time audio fundamentals: sample rates, frame sizes, buffering, and latency budgets
- Ability to write developer-focused documentation that engineers actually read and use
- Comfort working in codebases with a native core; ability to read Rust and C bindings even if you don't write them daily
- Active user of AI coding tools with practical knowledge of where they excel and where they fall short
- Bonus qualifications: experience with voice agent frameworks, WebRTC, PyO3 or napi-rs bindings, gRPC, or protobuf
This role may not be the right fit if: you prefer working on DSP or model development in native code, you'd rather build one product than maintain multiple integrations, you don't want customer-facing work, you view open-source contribution as optional, or you require a fully remote position.
