About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential telecommunications client in their search for a Technical Account Manager specializing in B2B M2M mobile communications. This role is based in Cologne and offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of mission-critical communication solutions, including Smart Grid and Smart Metering technologies.
Our talent team partners with leading organizations in the telecom sector to connect them with exceptional technical professionals. For this position, we're seeking someone who can bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical consultation and support to business customers for M2M communication challenges, including Smart Grid and Smart Metering solutions
- Serve as the primary technical contact and manage customer projects from presales consultation through technical onboarding, piloting, stable deployment, and expansion
- Support sales efforts through technical consulting, solution design, and customer presentations
- Address technical inquiries, conduct structured error analysis, and deliver sustainable problem resolution during testing and operational phases
- Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, product management, and technical departments
- Structure and communicate customer requirements to inform product and service development
What We're Looking For
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end IT and mobile technologies for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication
- Specific experience in Smart Grid and Smart Metering domains
- Proven track record consulting on complex IT and communications solutions in B2B environments
- Strong expertise in modern mobile technologies and secure IT communication pathways
- Experience with IP management and secure connectivity solutions, including fiber-optic networks, APN structures, and API gateways
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with high initiative
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Solid project management experience working in project-driven environments
- Fluent German language skills; good English proficiency in speaking and writing
- Completed degree or vocational training in electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology, or comparable qualification, plus several years of relevant professional experience
