Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential hospitality organization in Heidelberg that needs a skilled accounting professional to lead their financial operations. In this role, you will:

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting operations
• Handle posting and account assignment of business transactions autonomously
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
• Monitor and process open items to maintain healthy cash flow
• Execute and control accounting processes using DATEV software
• Ensure accurate and well-structured bookkeeping practices
• Support administrative tasks and organizational matters as needed
• Contribute to process optimization within the accounting function
• Serve as the point of contact for internal accounting-related inquiries

What We're Looking For

We need someone who truly understands accounting, not just administrative tasks. The ideal candidate brings:

• Multiple years of hands-on accounting experience
• Proven track record of independent posting and account assignment
• Expert-level proficiency in DATEV (this is mandatory)
• Confident working knowledge of chart of accounts SKR03
• Solid understanding of receivables, payables, and open item management
• Structured, meticulous, and reliable work approach
• High degree of independence and sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of cross-team collaboration
• Willingness to handle administrative duties alongside accounting tasks
• Fluency in German (required for this role)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This is an on-site position in Heidelberg with no remote work option.
