About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential consulting organization that serves leading industrial manufacturers across Europe. Our client needs a Senior SAP GTS Consultant to join their team supporting global trade compliance and logistics transformation projects. This role is based in Heidelberg, with occasional travel across Germany and internationally.
As part of our client's practice, you will design and implement enterprise-wide solutions for customs management, trade compliance, and cross-border logistics using SAP Global Trade Services. You will work with world-class manufacturing and life sciences organizations on complex, multi-country rollouts.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP GTS solutions for international trade and customs compliance
- Lead global rollouts of trade management systems across multiple countries and business units
- Optimize cross-border logistics and customs processes for efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Develop trade compliance strategies and solution architectures for industrial clients
- Build knowledge management frameworks and best practices for global trade operations
- Support the growth and development of the trade compliance practice
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Logistics, or related field
- Strong SAP module expertise, particularly in logistics areas (Sales, Shipping, Procurement)
- Experience as an SAP application expert or module owner in an industrial environment
- Background in international trade, customs, or global logistics operations preferred
- Prior exposure to SAP GTS is a strong advantage
- Fluent German and English required for client communication
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and occasionally internationally
- Consulting mindset with ability to work independently on client sites
