Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential boutique publicity firm seeking a Senior Publicist to join their remote team. In this role, you will:

• Write press packs, expert pages, sample media questions, and compelling media pitches for authors and publishing clients
• Manage and execute media relations campaigns while maintaining clear client communication
• Identify and secure opportunities for contributed articles and tip lists across traditional and online media outlets
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with media contacts to pitch and land placements
• Research newsworthy topics, events, and creative angles to support campaign success
• Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and execute comprehensive PR strategies
• Provide monthly client updates, goal setting, and campaign analytics reviews
• Support authors in developing consistent personal branding
• Participate in monthly team meetings and strategy brainstorm sessions
• Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative company culture

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking a professional who brings:

• 5+ years of PR campaign management and execution experience, specifically in book publicity
• A genuine passion for the literary world and securing top-tier media placements for authors
• Proven ability to independently manage workflow and campaign execution
• Excellent creative writing skills for press materials and pitches
• Strong relationship-building abilities and communication skills
• Leadership potential with interest in future management opportunities
• Proactive problem-solving capabilities and solutions-oriented mindset
• Experience mentoring junior team members
• Basic proficiency with Mac or PC, Google Apps for Business (Gmail, Google Docs)
• Familiarity with media databases such as Muck Rack (preferred)
• High-speed internet connection and smartphone for remote work
• Positive attitude and collaborative team player approach
