Senior Civil Engineer – Data Center

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential engineering firm seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Data Center practice. Our client provides multidisciplinary design services for hyperscale data center campuses and colocation facilities across the United States. This role offers the chance to work on some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects being built today, supporting the critical systems that power our connected world.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will serve dual roles as both project manager and lead design engineer across various assignments. You will prepare planning and design documents, process design calculations, develop client standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and consultants. The position offers flexible work arrangements including hybrid and fully remote options in various U.S. locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for large-scale data center campus projects
• Serve as project manager on select assignments while acting as lead design engineer on others
• Prepare planning documents, design calculations, and technical specifications
• Develop and maintain team and client engineering standards
• Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews on complex projects
• Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external consultants
• Provide technical mentorship and advisory support on complex engineering challenges
• Utilize Civil 3D for design development and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8+ years of civil engineering project experience
• Proficiency in Civil 3D software
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-faceted engineering projects
• Experience with infrastructure design for large-scale commercial or industrial facilities preferred
• Passion for delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering problems
