DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Berlin, Germany. This full-time, unlimited contract role focuses on maintaining and scaling global cloud infrastructure that supports product development, data engineering, and AI initiatives.

Our client operates in an environment where reliable infrastructure directly enables teams to deliver meaningful healthcare solutions. You'll work collaboratively across technical functions to ensure systems remain secure, scalable, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve global AWS infrastructure, with particular emphasis on ECS, RDS, and related services
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, contributing to reusable and maintainable modules with version control
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and container deployment processes to support secure and reliable software delivery
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and drive improvements in reliability, security, and cloud cost optimization
• Collaborate with product teams, data engineering, and AI teams to understand requirements and deliver effective infrastructure solutions
• Contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives and maintain comprehensive operational documentation

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Hands-on experience managing production infrastructure on AWS, ideally including ECS, RDS, and supporting services
• Practical experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and infrastructure changes through version control and code review processes
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and production deployments
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies, high-availability configurations, and safe database migration practices
• Ability to independently deliver infrastructure tasks, articulate technical trade-offs, and contribute to architectural discussions
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English (C1 level)
• Interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools responsibly for infrastructure development, testing, and troubleshooting
