About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential product consultancy in Germany seeking an exceptional Head of Product Management. This leadership role combines strategic oversight, hands-on client engagement, and team development in an organization focused on leveraging technology for meaningful outcomes. You'll lead a talented product management team while maintaining active involvement in high-stakes client projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of product managers, focusing on professional growth, skill development, and client excellence
• Engage directly in client projects as Project Lead or in a steering capacity, translating complex client objectives into actionable strategies and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Standardize product management processes and create operational synergies across multiple client accounts
• Collaborate with executive leadership to evolve both product team strategy and broader organizational direction
• Own the complete talent acquisition process—attracting, selecting, and onboarding top product management professionals
• Drive AI integration across discovery, prototyping, and product strategy, optimizing workflows with forward-looking vision
• Manage team utilization and project staffing to ensure optimal resource allocation
• Collaborate with clients to identify new business opportunities and represent the organization as a thought leader in the market
• Provide strategic product consulting to clients while effectively managing internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain regular presence in the Munich office (minimum 40% onsite) to collaborate with your team and leadership

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of product management experience in product companies, combined with consulting or agency background
• Proven track record leading, recruiting, and developing high-performing product teams
• Demonstrated ability to drive team-level strategic growth and contribute meaningfully to executive strategy discussions
• Strong hands-on experience in Project Leadership or Steering roles, with capability to guide teams and translate client ambitions into executable plans
• Deep expertise in AI applications, with practical experience optimizing product workflows and a forward-looking perspective on AI's role in product development
• Highly structured mindset with proven ability to drive initiatives and manage complex stakeholder relationships
• Strong balance between technical understanding and business value considerations, including monetization trade-offs
• Executive presence with comfort challenging the status quo and collaborating at all organizational levels
• Willingness to work regularly onsite in Munich to collaborate directly with your team and leadership
• Direct, empathetic, and pragmatic communication and feedback style
• High emotional intelligence with capability to mentor, challenge, and inspire
• German language proficiency and authorization to work in Germany
