About This Opportunity

Our client is a global technology organization operating at the intersection of product development and AI innovation. They're seeking an AI Product Operations Lead to build and scale internal AI capabilities across their R&D organization.

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, or the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

You'll own the connective layer between AI strategy and execution across product development teams. Your work will include:

• Building and managing a prioritized backlog of AI opportunities across R&D, helping teams identify where AI can deliver the greatest impact
• Taking ambiguous problems from discovery through delivery—understanding workflows, exploring options, designing solutions, coordinating implementation, testing, launching, and continuously improving
• Designing AI-native solutions that integrate naturally into existing work patterns, whether that's a simple prompt, automation, integration, agent, or custom application
• Maximizing value from enterprise AI tools by partnering with IT and InfoSec on access, configuration, enablement, and support
• Owning the full lifecycle of AI systems including automations, agents, and internal applications
• Establishing practical approaches to evaluation, testing, reliability, observability, security, and maintenance
• Partnering across R&D teams to uncover needs, unblock delivery, and connect the right expertise to the work
• Contributing to AI governance and enablement practices, providing visibility into active projects, risks, adoption, and outcomes
• Working with Finance to improve visibility into AI tool usage, spend, and ROI
• Exploring autonomous agents that can improve planning, discovery, design, development, and management processes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong practical experience applying AI to real-world problems with solutions that achieve genuine adoption
• Proven track record taking ambiguous problems from discovery through implementation, testing, adoption, and ongoing improvement
• Excellent systems thinking—ability to understand how people, processes, tools, data flows, integrations, and technical constraints interconnect
• Strong user and workflow discovery skills; ability to get beyond surface requests to understand the real job to be done
• Hands-on technical fluency building, modifying, and troubleshooting internal workflows, automations, agents, or applications
• Practical experience with modern development practices: GitHub, repositories, pull requests, basic application hosting, deployment, logging, and operational troubleshooting
• Experience managing work independently—prioritizing backlogs, handling dependencies and risks, documenting decisions, communicating with stakeholders
• Strong approach to evaluation and reliability, including defining success metrics, testing methods, feedback collection, and post-launch improvement
• Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams with minimal day-to-day direction
• Sound judgment around responsible AI, security, access, and governance
