Customer Data Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing martech organization seeking a Customer Data Engineer to join their energetic global team in Dundee. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite, offering an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in data engineering while working directly with enterprise clients across various business verticals.

You'll work with cutting-edge cloud technology and collaborate closely with customer success teams to deliver tailored data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support a wide range of data transformations and migrations
• Design and implement custom ETL processes, data pipelines, and data marts
• Access versatile data sources and apply data quality measures
• Investigate data mismatches and implement solutions
• Collaborate with Customer Success teams to meet client business requirements
• Interact directly with clients to understand needs and plan project execution

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical client-facing position, OR a STEM degree
• Hands-on experience with databases and SQL
• Outstanding technical and analytical skills
• Exceptional work ethic and high motivation
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Quick learning capabilities and creative problem-solving approach
• Ability to work hybrid in Dundee office 2 days per week
• UK work authorization (sponsorship not available)

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Python
• Experience with Airflow, ETL tools, Snowflake, and MSSQL
• Version control systems experience (Git)
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity
