About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential autonomous vehicle technology organization seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead homologation efforts for advanced driver-assistance systems across European and Chinese markets. This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering execution, regulatory compliance, and customer delivery for L2++ safety and comfort features.
You will own the end-to-end certification process, acting as the primary point of contact between engineering teams, OEM partners, technical services, and regulatory authorities. This is a high-impact position requiring both deep technical knowledge and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks while maintaining program timelines and customer confidence.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, and execute semi-autonomous vehicle programs for globally recognized automotive manufacturers
- Own complete homologation lifecycle for ADAS and automated driving systems in EU and China markets, including UNECE regulations, Euro NCAP protocols, and type approval processes
- Serve as single point of contact for homologation matters across engineering and commercial functions, enabling rapid alignment and decision-making
- Manage type approval roadmap, timeline, integration, delivery, and monitoring from initial concept through start of production
- Translate regulatory and customer requirements into actionable engineering work by leading technical workshops, test drives, system tuning sessions, and validation activities
- Coordinate with OEM partners, technical services providers, and regulatory authorities throughout certification and approval phases
- Drive resolution of internal and external escalations, proactively reducing delivery risk and maintaining customer confidence
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline)
- 7+ years of experience in technical project management or program management within automotive or high-tech industries
- Strong understanding of ADAS and automated driving development lifecycles and integration processes
- Solid working knowledge of European homologation regulations, particularly UNECE frameworks; familiarity with Chinese regulatory standards is a strong advantage
- Proven experience leading multi-site, cross-functional teams and working directly with OEM customers or certification bodies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Fluent English required; German language skills are beneficial
- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe and to China
