Financial Analys – German language skills essential

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Stuttgart seeking a Financial Analyst with strong German language capabilities. In this role, you will strengthen the Finance function and support the company through its next stage of growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own and improve budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning to ensure alignment with financial and growth targets
• Build, maintain, and improve integrated financial models covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, investment cases, sensitivities, and growth scenarios
• Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, identifying operational and financial drivers, and recommending corrective actions
• Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting, KPI dashboards, executive analyses, and other materials for senior leadership
• Ensure management reporting, planning, and financial analysis align with German HGB accounting and reporting principles
• Partner with Accounting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to ensure reliable financial data
• Develop scalable FP&A processes, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, and planning methodologies to support increasing complexity
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis supporting pricing, cost optimization, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives
• Establish and monitor financial and operational KPIs including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, and productivity metrics
• Support the evolution of the Finance function through standardization, automation, internal controls, documentation, and process improvement

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• CFA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Controller qualification, or similar professional certification is helpful
• Experience in FP&A, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, or comparable finance role
• Strong practical knowledge of German HGB and experience with financial statements and reporting in a German business environment
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and financial performance management
• Advanced Excel skills including complex financial modeling, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and PivotTables
• Ability to operate effectively in a scaling company and improve processes that may initially be manual or fragmented
• Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to identify commercial implications behind financial data
• Clear and concise communication skills for complex financial topics
• High degree of ownership, independence, and execution discipline with strong prioritization skills
• German and English language skills are essential
