About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential property management organization in München that is building transformative software for an industry that has been overlooked by modern technology. Our client is creating an integrated platform including customer portals, AI-driven automation, and administrative tools that fundamentally change how property management professionals work.
This is a rare opportunity to be the founding design hire on a product team, building the design system and design process from the ground up for software that solves real problems in a large, underserved market.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete design process from research through implementation: conduct user interviews with administrators and property owners, synthesize insights into concepts, and design interfaces for customer-facing and internal applications
- Work embedded with product engineers in the same repository and development rhythm, seeing your designs go live within weeks
- Use AI-assisted development tools (React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui) to implement your designs directly in the frontend, shipping partial or complete features alongside the team
- Design interaction patterns for AI agent workflows, defining when users need control versus transparency in automated processes
- Build and maintain the design system in Figma, from wireframes and clickable prototypes to component libraries
- Conduct qualitative research including user interviews, insight synthesis, and usability testing to validate assumptions
- Receive and provide direct feedback with short feedback loops from colleagues and end users
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of product design experience, preferably with B2B software or complex workflows
- Portfolio with 2–3 case studies demonstrating your approach from user problem through shipped interface—we value thinking process over screen quantity
- Strong proficiency with Figma across wireframes, interactive prototypes, and component libraries
- Experience with qualitative research methods: conducting interviews, synthesizing findings, and validating assumptions through usability tests
- Strong interaction design and information architecture skills for data-rich applications
- Solid to advanced experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, v0 or similar) to implement features in code
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; JavaScript experience is a plus
- German language proficiency at B2 level minimum
Don't meet every requirement? Apply anyway. Our talent team values learning trajectory and potential over strict credential matching.
