Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep Azure expertise. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located within the CET timezone (+/- 3 hours). Our client needs an experienced infrastructure professional who can architect, automate, and optimize cloud systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, and Bash to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools
• Implement and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles to define and manage infrastructure resources
• Set up monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and related tools to ensure system health and performance
• Implement security measures and best practices for Azure resources, ensuring compliance and security standards
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to deliver effective cloud solutions
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure system resilience
• Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize Azure resources, and implement efficiency best practices
• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering continuous learning and improvement

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong focus on Azure
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture, including Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and more
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as ARM templates and Terraform
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Located in the CET timezone (+/- 3 hours)

• Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
