Working Student: Short-Form Video & Social Content

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global HR technology organization seeking a talented Working Student to create scroll-stopping short-form video content. This is a unique opportunity to build real portfolio pieces while studying, working approximately 16-18 hours per week during the semester with flexibility around your academic schedule.

Our client is a fast-growing, remote-first company helping businesses manage international teams. They need someone who lives and breathes social platforms and can create content that doesn't look like typical B2B marketing—someone who understands why certain Reels stop the scroll and others don't.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit short-form video content including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts with quick turnaround times
• Monitor platform trends and identify relevant opportunities that align with brand identity
• Direct colleagues on camera, providing guidance to help them feel comfortable and authentic
• Create concepts across multiple styles—from casual, entertaining social content to polished B2B storytelling
• Provide critical feedback on content ideas, focusing on hooks, pacing, sound selection, and overall execution
• Support content planning, shoot coordination, approval processes, and ongoing social media strategy development
• Engage with the audience using appropriate brand voice across platforms

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at a German university and able to maintain student status throughout the role duration
• Genuine user of Instagram, TikTok, and similar platforms with native understanding of what makes content perform
• Portfolio of short-form videos you've personally shot and edited (personal channel, side projects, or previous work)
• Proficiency with CapCut or similar mobile/desktop editing tools
• Strong trend awareness with good instincts for which trends align with brand goals
• Comfortable directing shoots and managing the energy of on-camera talent
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with distributed team members
• Reliable and organized with ability to manage deadlines alongside studies
• Available approximately 16 hours per week during semester periods
• Based in or able to work from Berlin, Germany (hybrid setup)

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience writing short-form copy including captions, hooks, and on-screen text
• Understanding of platform analytics such as watch time, retention rates, and engagement metrics
• Experience with content calendar management
• Comfort engaging with audiences in comments using brand voice

Pay

This position offers €18 per hour gross for approximately 16-18 hours per week during semester periods.
