AI Strategist

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential AI consulting organization based in Munich. They work with large enterprises to implement AI systems that drive meaningful operational transformation. This is not a traditional advisory role—you will be defining strategic direction, shaping engagements, and making binding commitments alongside technical teams who build and deploy systems in production environments.

We are seeking an AI Strategist to lead client accounts and turn ambiguous transformation opportunities into clear, executable initiatives. You will work directly with C-level executives and engineering leaders to identify where AI creates material leverage and define what the organization commits to delivering.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI transformation thesis and strategic direction for enterprise accounts
• Identify high-impact problems worth pursuing among competing organizational priorities
• Shape engagement scope, success criteria, and commercial positioning
• Drive executive alignment and decision-making across senior stakeholders in complex political environments
• Partner closely with deployment and engineering teams to ensure commitments align with operational reality
• Manage risk, set boundaries, and make strong commitments under uncertainty
• Translate technical AI initiatives into frameworks executives can understand and act upon
• Identify expansion opportunities and guide long-term account development
• Co-lead accounts as part of a two-person leadership structure with full end-to-end ownership

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical understanding of modern AI systems and their practical enterprise applications
• Proven ability to identify transformation opportunities inside complex organizations
• Strong commercial and strategic judgment with comfort making binding commitments
• Experience operating in ambiguous, high-stakes enterprise environments
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence across technical and business audiences
• Systems-level thinking across organizational structure, workflows, and engineering operations
• Ability to challenge assumptions and drive clarity in decision-making
• High ownership, autonomy, and accountability—comfortable working without traditional management layers
• Strong partnership instincts when collaborating with deployment and engineering colleagues
• Comfort defining scope boundaries and managing competing incentives with incomplete information
