Senior Product Manager, AI Receptionist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded appointment-based software platform serving the self-care industry. Our client has built a comprehensive solution used by thousands of businesses nationwide and is making a significant investment in AI-powered client communication tools. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own their AI Receptionist product from vision through execution.

This is a high-visibility role at a company processing billions in annual transactions. You will define how AI handles voice and text interactions for businesses that rely on exceptional client communication to compete and grow.

Responsibilities

As Senior Product Manager for the AI Receptionist product, you will:

• Own the complete product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for AI-powered client communication across voice and text channels
• Define when AI should handle conversations autonomously versus handing off to human staff, and design seamless transitions between the two
• Develop product strategy around conversation continuity across channels, fallback behaviors, and coherent experiences whether clients interact with AI or humans
• Drive business outcomes including revenue, adoption, and retention through metrics like autonomous resolution rate, agent productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate on pricing strategy and translate product performance into business impact
• Build deep customer fluency to understand what businesses will trust AI to handle versus what must remain in human control
• Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to ship AI products that earn user trust over time

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5–8 years in product management with B2B2C or combined B2C and B2B experience serving both businesses and their end customers
• Proven track record shipping AI-powered products, including shaping AI behavior, designing for failure modes, and building user trust
• LLM fluency with hands-on familiarity in prompt design sufficient to partner credibly with engineering teams
• AI-native work style using tools like Claude daily and staying current with technology evolution
• Strong voice-of-customer instincts with experience building products for users skeptical of automation
• Data fluency including defining metrics, conducting analysis, and building evidence-based roadmap arguments
• Cross-functional leadership experience influencing engineering, design, and data teams without formal authority
• Clear communication skills translating complex AI decisions for business owners, partners, and leadership

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with conversational AI, voice interfaces, or messaging products
• Background in vertical SaaS or services-industry platforms
• Familiarity with AI quality evaluation and measurement of conversation quality
• Genuine affinity for small business constraints and trust-building

Pay

This is a full-time, remote position based in the USA. The client offers competitive compensation including base salary, variable compensation eligibility, 401(k) match, comprehensive health benefits, flexible vacation, work-from-home stipend, equity, and professional development programs.

For candidates in NYC, SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $129,000–$161,300 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the range is $113,400–$155,900 per year. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and leveling.
