Responsibilities

We are representing a specialized SAP consultancy seeking HCM consultants at Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior levels to support and advise clients on their SAP HCM landscapes. In this role, you will work directly with client organizations to optimize their HR systems and drive meaningful improvements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing consultation and support for SAP HCM modules including PA, PE, OM, PKP, ESS/MSS, and FITV, with particular focus on PY-DE (German Payroll) and PT (Time Management)
  • Working with payroll schemas, cycles, customizing, and interface management
  • Proactively optimizing and developing client SAP HCM application landscapes beyond reactive ticket resolution
  • Taking ownership of sub-projects and client accounts independently after onboarding
  • Conducting remote client support from home office, with occasional on-site visits when needed (maximum 20% travel)
  • Collaborating closely with team leads, internal departments, and client stakeholders
  • Developing concepts, leading workshops, and building lasting client relationships
  • Exploring cloud solutions including SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central Payroll as part of your professional development

What We're Looking For

Our client needs consultants who understand SAP HCM deeply and can truly advise clients, not just configure systems. The ideal candidate brings:

  • Proven track record as an SAP HCM consultant with hands-on experience in PA, PY-DE, and/or PT through real client projects
  • Relevant professional experience: 0–2 years for Junior level, 3 years for Mid-Level, or 4+ years for Senior positions, with demonstrated client engagement and project delivery
  • Experience significantly contributing to at least one organization or project over 2+ years, building genuine client relationships
  • Excellent German language skills (C1 level minimum) for client consultation, documentation, and workshop facilitation
  • English language skills are beneficial
  • Willingness to travel within Germany up to 20% for client site visits
  • Strong operational capabilities combined with clear consulting communication—you don't just configure, you explain why solutions work better
  • Team-oriented, communicative, and client-focused mindset with active participation in collaboration
  • Knowledge of ABAP development methods is a plus but not required
  • Interest in SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central Payroll—training and development will be provided

This role is not suitable for: Candidates with only theoretical SAP HCM knowledge from training courses, those who prefer pure system administration over client consultation, professionals uncomfortable with client-facing communication, or candidates unable to meet the German language requirements for client advisory work.
