Legal Consultant – GMSLA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a Fortune 500 financial services organization in Singapore that needs experienced legal professionals to support their securities lending operations. Our talent team is seeking consultants with deep GMSLA expertise to join this APAC-based engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading institution on high-value trading documentation in a fast-paced, global environment. Candidates will work closely with front office, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure robust legal frameworks for securities lending activities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate Global Master Securities Lending Agreements (GMSLAs) and related trading and collateral documents
• Provide legal and commercial support to front office and operations teams on securities lending matters
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and external counsel to ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and internal standards
• Maintain and develop template agreements and playbooks to improve negotiation consistency and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience negotiating and documenting GMSLAs (qualified or non-qualified negotiator)
• Solid understanding of securities lending structures and collateral/margin mechanics
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in GMSLA work, or equivalent experience as a highly skilled GMSLA negotiator
• Clear communicator and confident negotiator capable of engaging effectively with trading and operations stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
