About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential education technology client seeking experienced architecture professionals to serve as career coaches. In this role, you'll guide aspiring and early-career architects through skill development, portfolio building, and career advancement strategies. This is a flexible, remote consulting opportunity where you set your own schedule and rates.
Responsibilities
- Mentor students and professionals seeking to build or advance careers in architecture
- Provide coaching on core architectural competencies including design, space planning, site analysis, and CAD/3D modeling
- Guide clients through building codes, sustainable design principles, and urban planning concepts
- Support development in construction management, project management, and client relations
- Help students prepare compelling design presentations and build strong professional portfolios
- Conduct resume and cover letter reviews, LinkedIn profile optimization, and networking strategy sessions
- Provide interview preparation and salary negotiation coaching
- Advise students pursuing freelance or independent practice paths
- Host virtual coaching sessions on your own schedule
What We're Looking For
- Significant professional experience in architecture, whether firm-based, freelance, or a combination
- Prior mentoring, teaching, or coaching experience
- Clear, structured approach to helping others develop their skills and careers
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide actionable feedback
- Expertise across multiple areas of architectural practice
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, supportive learning experiences
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, virtual environment
