About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is building next-generation mobile experiences for financial services across international markets. Our talent team is seeking a skilled Mobile Application Developer to join their engineering team remotely from Spain.

This is an opportunity to build native Android experiences that simplify complex financial workflows for real users. You'll own features end-to-end, working closely with product and design teams to ship high-quality mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and modern Android development practices
• Create intuitive mobile flows for financial services, including insurance, payments, and claims processing
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable, secure, and reliable
• Improve app performance metrics including crash rate, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage
• Leverage analytics and user behavior data to continuously improve the product
• Build AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely enhance the user journey

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin
• Proven track record shipping production Android applications
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android architecture patterns
• Deep understanding of mobile UX principles, usability, edge cases, and user flows
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues
• Fast execution mindset with high ownership and strong attention to product quality
• Portfolio of shipped work (app links, GitHub, or screenshots) is highly valued
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration across international teams
• Must be currently based in Spain

Technical environment: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines & Flow, SQL/NoSQL databases, TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference.

You'll thrive in this role if you: think in user journeys rather than just screens, care about making complex financial products feel simple, move quickly without sacrificing code quality, proactively identify UX and performance issues, and can clearly articulate your individual contributions to team projects.

This role is not suitable for: engineers who need fully defined tickets, developers who don't consider user experience, those who overlook crashes or edge cases, engineers uncomfortable with startup velocity, or candidates who cannot clearly explain their specific impact on previous projects.
