SMB Account Executive, London

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking an SMB Account Executive in London. In this role, you will:

• Evaluate and introduce payment and commerce solutions to small and medium-sized businesses across the UK
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful customer onboarding
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline with clear understanding of sales activities needed to achieve and exceed targets
• Take a consultative approach to every customer conversation, demonstrating strong business intuition
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to ensure solutions meet UK market needs
• Work closely with your sales team to replicate successes and identify improvement opportunities
• Leverage your sales experience to develop creative pipeline strategies

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a team-oriented professional with:

• 1-4 years of experience in a qualifying or prospecting role
• BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience or genuine interest in supporting SMB sellers
• Strong understanding of value-selling principles
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
• Structured thought process with ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
• Ability to gather support from internal experts and external partners for competitive positioning
• Genuine curiosity about people and business, with ability to inspire passion in others
• Interest in seeking and implementing feedback with dedication to continuous improvement
• Tenacity and adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for establishing trust via email and phone
• Business development experience including hunting and cold calling
• Collaborative, team player mentality
• Prior experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems
