About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential wellness brand in their search for a Video Editor / Storyboard Writer. This is a remote position open to candidates worldwide, with a focus on performance-driven creative production for paid social advertising.

This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing and creative execution. You'll primarily create storyboards that define the visual and narrative structure of high-converting ads, with video editing as a secondary skill to execute and refine your concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create performance-driven storyboards for paid social ads, defining the complete visual flow including talking head sequences, B-roll, actions, hooks, and on-screen text
• Specify exactly what actors should do and show in every moment, creating storyboards that are executable without additional direction
• Provide clear guidance to editors on creative execution, including stock footage selection, AI generation, and motion graphics integration
• Develop strong hooks, angles, and ad structures based on current performance trends across Meta and other platforms
• Think strategically about scroll-stopping moments, pattern interrupts, and retention drivers, building these elements into every concept
• Iterate concepts based on performance data and creative feedback
• Stay current on trends, formats, and winning ad patterns across DTC and direct-response categories
• Edit ads when needed to execute or refine your own storyboard concepts using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Leverage AI tools including avatars, voice generation, and generative video to enhance creative output
• Collaborate closely with marketing teams, editors, and copywriters to continuously improve results

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience creating storyboards for paid social or direct-response advertising
• Strong understanding of performance marketing principles including hooks, hold rate, retention, and CTR
• Experience with DTC brands or UGC-style ad formats
• Strong instinct for platform-native content across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
• Familiarity with current ad trends and winning creative formats
• Comfort using AI creative tools including avatars, voice generation, and generative video platforms
• Solid video editing skills with Adobe Premiere Pro (required) and After Effects (preferred)
• Strong written English with clear, concise, conversion-focused communication
• Ability to work quickly, manage multiple concepts simultaneously, and iterate without sacrificing quality
