Lead Product Designer – Design Systems

About This Position

As Lead Product Designer focused on Design Systems, you'll own the vision, strategy, and execution of design systems initiatives that standardize and accelerate product development. This position combines design leadership with technical collaboration to establish scalable design patterns, component libraries, and documentation that serve as the foundation for consistent user experiences across Quickenloans' product ecosystem. You'll work in a distributed remote environment, partnering with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design systems adoption and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the design system strategy, priorities, and roadmap aligned with organizational needs
• Create, document, and maintain comprehensive design components, patterns, and guidelines
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure design system implementation and adoption across product lines
• Establish design standards that improve consistency, reduce development time, and enhance user experience
• Mentor and guide designers and stakeholders in design systems principles and best practices
• Lead design reviews and critique sessions to maintain design quality and system integrity

What You Bring

• 5+ years of product design experience, with demonstrated expertise in design systems
• Proven track record leading design system initiatives from conception through organizational adoption
• Deep proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or similar) and component-based design workflows
• Strong understanding of design documentation, accessibility standards, and scalable design principles
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Portfolio demonstrating design systems work, component libraries, or large-scale design projects
