Senior Full Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client building AI-powered solutions for a complex financial services vertical. This is a high-impact role working directly with founders and a lean engineering team to ship production systems that automate intricate workflows and support end users at scale.

Our client is an AI-native organization where intelligent development tools are embedded into daily engineering practice. You'll design, build, and maintain full-stack applications in a fast-moving environment with minimal bureaucracy and maximum ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack software solutions that automate complex financial processes and enable seamless user collaboration
• Work closely with founders, senior engineers, and design to translate customer needs into practical, effective software
• Shape engineering strategy and contribute to product roadmap and team planning
• Design and implement robust, secure RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs with clear documentation and versioning practices
• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance across all applications, adhering to compliance and best practices
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools regularly to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and support documentation, code review, and test generation
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI development tooling to continuously improve team productivity
• Break down large projects into manageable tasks and ensure alignment across the team
• Foster documentation and knowledge sharing to support collaboration and smooth onboarding
• Implement monitoring and observability systems to enhance service stability and performance
• Guide and mentor team members, building skills and ensuring coverage across projects

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience spanning frontend and backend technologies
• 3+ years working with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, and backend technologies like NodeJS
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, including versioning, documentation, and security best practices
• Demonstrated regular use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate coding, debugging, or documentation workflows
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, or MySQL
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
• Proven experience leading a team or architecting large-scale enterprise products
• Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and software design skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-driven with a strong work ethic and passion for excellence
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively

Preferred:

• Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and hands-on experience with Serverless Framework, Lambda, and CloudFormation
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with prompt engineering for code generation, refactoring, test creation, or AI-powered product features
• Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and distributed systems
• Experience with data engineering, including pipelines, ETL workflows, and data architecture
• Prior early-stage startup experience
