About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Argentina on a remote-first basis. This is a permanent, full-time employee position.
Our client operates a high-traffic web platform serving millions of page views per hour for users across 190 countries. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of their production infrastructure as they continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the cloud platform across AWS and GCP, including compute layers, EKS fleet, serverless infrastructure, networking, and cloud operations
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code foundations, evolving patterns and shared components for engineering teams
- Design and maintain networking layers connecting distributed services, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability
- Improve observability through dashboards, alerts, and SLOs to catch issues before they impact customers
- Build and maintain AI-powered automation for cloud infrastructure management, including policy-as-code, drift detection, and LLM-assisted runbook generation
- Help shape team culture as the organization expands its international presence
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience owning and operating cloud infrastructure in customer-facing environments with minimal downtime tolerance
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS and strong opinions on cloud operations best practices
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters at scale, including upgrades, node group management, autoscaling, and cluster add-on lifecycle
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform, with a preference for code-based changes over console management
- Experience navigating multi-region or multi-cloud environments on AWS or GCP
- Proactive embrace of AI and emerging technologies to drive faster outcomes
- Collaborative spirit with ability to work across teams
- Strategic thinking and comfort with ambiguity
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with Karpenter, cluster autoscaler, or Kubernetes-native scaling tooling
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Experience building AI-assisted infrastructure tooling for cost optimization, anomaly detection, or policy-as-code
- Experience with multi-region architecture including data residency, regional failover, or latency-based routing
